On March 11, 2011 an earthquake and tsunami struck Northeastern Japan. This 8.9 Richter scale earthquake and resulting tsunami created mass destruction and took the lives of 27,000 people. Homes, businesses, schools
and hospitals were swept away or destroyed. Insurance only covered a small portion of these losses and the lives lost can never be replaced, yet the people of Japan are resilient, proud, and resourceful. They are rebuilding
their lives and their communities without complaint.
One year later, we don't want to forget the people of Japan so we are raising money to send to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund, a disaster relief fund focused on long term healthcare
needs, and the needs of children, including children who have lost one or both parents. So please join us on April 10, 2012 at The Golf Club at Ballantyne to play in our golf tournament
or participate in other fundraising activities to benefit those who really need our help. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go to this fund. Your contribution will lift the hearts of many proud
but struggling people who have suffered through this tragic event.
